In 1989 I released a VHS compilation of short films of mine. One of the pieces was a silent film I called "Plasticland" (1981) and I ended up using my favorite track off the recently released Ciccone Youth LP, "MacBeth" as the soundtrack. I thought the images and the music synced up rather nicely.

Flash forward to the early 90's and Sonic Youth were releasing a compilation of their early music videos, so I decided to return the favor for the use of the song and cut in footage I had shot but not used from a Sonic Youth video I directed ("Mildred Pierce"). A mash-up, so to speak. This is the end result, and it became the official video for the song. - Dave Markey
