Disney International Cat & Dog Posters | Walt Disney Family Museum | Exhibit Tour

On the lower level of the Walt Disney Family Museum in San Francisco, in the Lobby of the Fantasia-themed theater is an exhibit of Disney international movie posters. Animatronic Duo visited the museum recently to document the exhibit before it goes away. The video identifies where each poster is from. “The posters in this gallery or advertisements for international releases of animated, live action films in a variety of languages, illustrating several trends in the development of movie posters. Notably, these posters very considerably in size. “The museum’s collection of international movie posters, traces its origins to Diane Disney Miller, Walt Disney‘s daughter and cofounder of the Walt Disney family Museum. According to her son, Walter Miller, Diane was passion about collecting the vintage international posters, and “typical of my mom. She immersed herself in the artist behind the posters art.” Diane collected a wide range of poster art and was particularly interested in the Alphonse Mucha style art nouveau advertising posters.”
