UPDATED Pimoroni Badger 2040, 2040W Quick Start!

I recently acquired a new ‪@pimoroni‬ Badger 2040W. In the process of getting ready to use it I realized that the awesome folks at Pimoroni had made some nice updates to the Badger OS firmware that is used on both the new 2040W as well as the original 2040. Now they've removed the need to process images through a convert.py script. You simply produce the correct resolution jpeg (non progressive) and push the Badger. It will now even do the conversion from color.

What's covered:
For the 2040&2040W: Firmware upgrading, image formatting and pushing to badge and image apps.

For the 2040W only: WIFI configuration, modification of the weather app.

Bonus: Modifying a copy of the weather app to use against the Donor Drive API in order to see the current total of my ‪@ExtraLife4Kids‬ fundraising.
Misc troubleshooting tips are covered as well.
