This very high pitched Modulator 4016 is located atop the Islip Fire Department headquarters on Monell Ave. It is used for all general alarms and "echo" rescue calls. It replaced Federal Signal 3T22 in 2010 because the FD wanted something “newer and better.” Thanks for watching!

Amid the COVID-19 outbreak, fire departments across Long Island sounded their sirens at 7:00 PM for “Sirens at Seven” on April 5, 2020 to show support for the healthcare workers putting their lives on the line for their patients who are suffering during these hard times. It was truly amazing hearing such an insane amount of sirens going off at off at once, all for a good cause!
