Pesticides, phthalates which are used in cosmetics and many are banned in Europe – not here in the U.S. Also, flame retardants. Bringing me to our slay word DISINGENUOUS for deceitful. Because that’s how some large corporations treat the public. These companies are disingenuous.

I’m talking about things like the synthetic chemicals in non-stick pans and aluminum cans that are disrupting our hormones and messing up our immune system. The “forever chemicals”, or perfluoroalkylsubstances (PFAS) that are used to keep food from sticking to surfaces and our clothing free of oily stains. These chemicals have been widely found in our water supply. Chemicals that 110 million Americans drink every day. That’s making you die easier and faster fromCovid.

Bisphenol A, or BPA, is found in thermal paper receipts and aluminum can lining. It has been found to increase the body’s release of molecule called interleukin-6 which scientists think is involved in the lung problems that people with covid die from.

Phthalates are used in cosmetics, personal care products and food packaging. They alter levels of cytokines, which are key players in the immune response to coronavirus.

How do you protect yourself. The Guardian says use grandmas cast iron or stainless steel instead of nonstick pans. Avoid canned food consumption, and reducing the use of plastic in our lives.

And talkto your confressperson and get them to do their job in limiting our ecposure to these chemicals. Remember the US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has used the coronavirus pandemic to waive its enforcement rules, allowing companies to pollute without consequences.
