2024 Honda Motocompacto - A New Battery for the Honda Motocompacto

In this video, we install a new battery to replace the one in the Dax Motocompacto that failed in our Mode 2 Range test a few months ago. Installing the battery is the reversal of removing the battery and we don't repeat the steps here. Rather, we refer the viewer to the Mode 2 Range test video here:

After installing the battery, we charge it for two hours and the charging completes as normal. We then take the Motocompacto for a quick naked ride to make sure it runs as expected, and then install the body panels. Then we ride the completed job on the same 1.2 mile test loop that we rode in our Motocompacto Range Test videos. We encounter no problems and decide to put the Dax Motocompacto back in the riding rotation with our other three Motocompactos.
When we get back from the test ride, we have Indome Mi goring noodles for dinner, and Koala's March for dessert.
We expect, but do not know yet, that the battery will be covered by the 12 month Motocompacto warrantee. However, since we took the battery apart to understand why it failed, we might have voided the warrantee. Check back here in a month or two for an update.
