This release is notable for being the international cut of the film, with its distinctive inverted title scheme (in the US the movie was released as 'Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home') and matching title card, as well as a separate prologue recounting the events of the previous films in the series. This version of the film has become increasingly rare as modern video releases have reverted to the original cut regardless of region.
