Swallows and Amazons was written by Arthur Ransome and set in 1929.
The 1974 film was directed by Claude Whatham and produced by Richard Pilbrow. It starred Virgina McKenna (Mrs. Walker) and Ronald Fraser (Uncle Jim).

This is a video of the 50th Anniversary Reunion filmed on Saturday 6 April 2024 filmed at the Cinema Museum, London with British author Brian Sibley.

Part 2, features Brian Sibley in conversation with the film's cast: Simon West (Swallow), Suzanna Hamilton (Swallow), Sophie Neville (Swallow), Sten Grendon (Swallow), Kit Seymour (Amazon) and the film's screenwriter, David Wood.
