Sheikh Shahjahan cries in prison van, court extends custody by 14 days. Suspended TMC leader Sheikh Shahjahan was produced before the court on April 24. The Basirhat Subdivision Court extended Shahjahan's custody by 14 days. After the hearing, Shahjahan was seen breaking down in the prison van while being taken away as he spoke to members of his family. Sharing the clip on ‘X’, the BJP IT cell chief Amit Malviya wrote, 'Swag of Mamata Banerjee’s poster boy, rapist has disappeared'. Shahjahan, accused of sexual assault and land grab, was arrested from Minakhan in North 24 Parganas district.
