A beneficiary of the Subhadra Yojana in Odisha has shared how she plans to start a small business using the scheme’s instalment money. She said that after receiving the Subhadra instalment, she will prepare traditional food items like badi and papad and sell them in nearby shops to earn an income. “Once we receive the Subhadra instalment, we will make badi and papad and supply them to different shops,” the beneficiary said while explaining her plan. The Subhadra Yojana is a women-centric welfare initiative launched in Odisha to provide direct financial assistance and promote economic independence among women by supporting livelihood activities and small enterprises.
