In this VladTV clip, Nick Cannon talks about how his dad kept him out of trouble through media, which included writing. As a result, his dad had him going out into the community and documenting what was going on.

Cannon broke down how he is the oldest of five boys. His mom and dad had him when they were in high school. He also spoke on how he ended up being taken in by his grandmother.

From there, Nick briefly touched on how his pops was one of the original founding members of the Bloods, but he never wanted to glorify the situation because he got out of it unscathed.
