The World Bank's Regional Vice President, Martin Raiser, declared Punjab a regional champion for its effective initiatives in environmental improvement.

Agreement reached on joint efforts to address poverty alleviation, enhance IT and infrastructure, resolve environmental issues, and promote social development.

Discussion held on accelerating the pace of ongoing World Bank projects in Punjab and launching new initiatives.

The World Bank's Vice President for South Asia appreciated Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif's public welfare projects.

"Punjab’s projects align with the World Bank's country partnership strategy," said the Vice President of the World Bank.

Offered full cooperation for improving environmental conditions and the sanitation system.

The World Bank delegation appreciated the integration of the Population Welfare Department into the Health Department.

Integrating the Population Welfare Department with the Health Department is expected to provide better services to the public, said Martin Raiser, Regional Vice President of the World Bank.

Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif appreciated the World Bank's collaboration for Punjab's development and prosperity.

"We seek further assistance from the World Bank in projects related to education, health, tourism, and environment," stated Maryam Nawaz Sharif.

"Special training programs have been introduced in Punjab to connect the youth with the global IT market," said Maryam Nawaz Sharif.

"We are launching the Punjab Clean Air Program with the support of the World Bank," added Maryam Nawaz Sharif.

"Under the Punjab Clean Air Program, electric buses, rickshaws, and bikes will be introduced," stated Maryam Nawaz Sharif.

"Vehicle inspection stations are being established with the collaboration of the World Bank," highlighted Maryam Nawaz Sharif.

"Eliminating environmental pollution is a matter of survival, and the World Bank's support is commendable," stated Maryam Nawaz Sharif.

"We will continue the collaboration with the World Bank to accelerate the journey of development," emphasized Maryam Nawaz Sharif.
