Blaque Diamond shares her harrowing stories of living in NYC, witnessing a murder, going into hiding with her husband and kids, losing her husband after he went missing, and having to identify his body at the morgue. She also reveals how she started writing as a way of coping and finding her voice, and how she uses her social work background and personal experience to advocate for individuals, children, and families who are trying to escape their realities or have not yet began their journey. Blaque Diamond talks about her books, such as 1380 Prospect Avenue, a remarkable tale of life-long connections forged by the tough love of “da streets”, and The House on the Hill, a vivid representation of her memories with the house where she grew up. She also discusses her movie trailer that has been made, her podcast group Da Crew, and her nonprofit organization.
