Season 4, Episode 6 — The Reeva Project

After crossing the Singapore Strait, we arrived safely at Senibong Cove Marina, Johor Bahru, marking the start of a new chapter aboard our 42-foot sailboat, SV Reeva.

This week was an emotional one — we bid farewell to our wonderful crew, Swaroop and Apoorva, as they returned to Switzerland, and our daughter Kaeya headed back to India. Suddenly, Reeva felt quieter than ever — just the two of us aboard.

But soon, we found our rhythm again. Between provisioning, refilling gas cylinders (with some creative jugaad!), and giving our 35-year-old engine a 300-hour service, we prepared Reeva for the next big adventure.

As we set sail from Senibong, we navigated through busy shipping lanes near Johor Bahru, surrounded by massive merchant vessels, before reaching the turquoise waters of Tioman Island — one of Malaysia’s most stunning cruising destinations, famous for turtles, coral reefs, and crystal-clear waters.
