How To Choose The Right Air Compressor

Описание к видео How To Choose The Right Air Compressor

In this video I show you how to select the right size air compressor for your home shop. Air compressors come in two main varieties. Portable and stationary. Portable compressors range from 1 gallon to 30 gallons. Stationary units range from 60 to 120+ gallons. Stationary units come in both single stage and two stage. Single stage units will be rated for 135psi and most two stages are rated at 175 psi. Single stage units can produce over 135psi but the life span of the pump will be greatly reduced.

In this video I use 3 compressors for an example:
Harbor Freight 3 gallon oil-less pancake compressor
Quincy 26 gallon model # Q12126VPQ
Ingersoll Rand model# TS4N5

The Ingersoll Rand compressor is what I'm currently using in my shop. It is model TS4N5 sold at Tractor Supply. I traded the Quincy in this video to my next door neighbor for the Ingersoll Rand. It is completely overkill for my current uses but, I plan on getting a sand blaster in the future. I estimate the Ingersoll Rand would run a 2 or 3 bay automotive repair shop.
