Very depressing news emerged from the world of social media today:
Maddy Baloy, a TikTok user who spent several months documenting her experience with terminal cancer, has sadly died away.
Her age was twenty-six.
Madison was "surrounded with love" when she died away, according to a statement made by the star's fiance Louis Risher to People Magazine on Thursday, May 2. He also told this outlet that Madison was "so special." In actuality, I turned 27 yesterday. All I needed was to hold her hand the entire day.
In an attempt to alleviate her stomach problems, Baloy changed her diet for over a year after she began to experience them in the summer of 2022.
However, she started having sensory issues and vomiting blood frequently in the beginning of 2023.
Baloy was eventually diagnosed with metastatic stage 4 cancer and given a maximum of five years to live after seeing a doctor and undergoing multiple tests.
In a GoFundMe campaign from the previous year, she stated, "What I thought was a simple visit to urgent care to be seen for a common stomach bug turned into the most devastating ruin of my life in relation to health, spirit, and finances."
This was not long after Baloy became aware of her condition.
She also said at the time, "Since receiving my cancer diagnosis a few days ago, I have already had two surgeries, am undergoing chemotherapy, and will need additional surgeries soon."
After receiving her diagnosis, Baloy joined TikTok because she felt "alone and isolated." She used the incredibly popular site to capture her experiences at the time.
