Sailing SV Pardon My French: 2018 Swiftsure in 4K!

Описание к видео Sailing SV Pardon My French: 2018 Swiftsure in 4K!

We have a fantastic Swiftsure to share with you in 4K! The 75th edition of the iconic Pacific Northwest race didn't disappoint: 123 nautical miles on the strait of Juan de Fuca between US and Canada along with another 100+ boats. No need to anchor this year but we blew a jib and lost a drone... We didn't get even close to line or class honors (!) but we probably win the most-international-crew prize: US, France, Mexico, and Italy/Belgium! Come along and sail with us!

About Pardon My French: a 1993 40.5 Hunter Legend, she’s not even close to being the fastest but she’s never afraid to go rumble with the big guys. What she lacks in speed, she gives in spirit, and in stride -- we push the 25 year-old girl hard and she loves it!

Our course, Cape Flattery is one of four long races: a 101.9nm stretch between Victoria, BC and Neah Bay on the Washington coast at the mouth of the Pacific Ocean. We ended up sailing 123 miles in 1 day 4 hours and 37 minutes -- making us a relatively slow boat compared to racers, but maybe the happiest one!

Huge thanks to the best crew: Alec (18), Antoine, Eric, Gloria, Lara, Matt and Nicolas. It was Gloria's first race ever, she doesn't mess around starting her pedigree with the Swiftsure.
