GIANT STRIPERS IN MAY, The big Striped Bass came to Maine early this year.

Snuck out for a mid-day tide the last week in May. After finding some mackerel I moved around to a few of the usual early season spots with minimal luck. I decided to try a new location near some of the mid-summer ledges I fish thinking the fish might be in transition from sand to ledges already and my hunch paid off. In under two hours of fishing I caught over two dozen schoolies, 3 slot fish, 2 32", 2 36", 2 38" and the 2nd to last fishing of the day was a 40". This was one of if not the best days of solo fishing I have ever had. I am encouraged to see so many small fish as well. Below are some of my other videos.
