►About The Game:

What Is Surroundead?

5 years have passed since civilization fought against the virus, but nothing has changed. The world lays in pieces, with no one to lead us to a brighter future fighting back against the zombies, people have fallen back to a dark life style.

With few remnants of civilization left, you are left to your own devices to survive in an unforgiving landscape.

Game Features:
Travel through a desolate post apocalyptic landscape.
Fight zombies and possibly worse.
Find many different firearms, melee weapons and equipment.
Trade with survivors in trader hideouts or safe zones to get that one piece of equipment you need.
Barricade buildings or find your self somewhere in the wilderness to escape to.
Loot varied locations to improve yourself, but be aware of your surroundings.
Weather and day/night cycles, be careful.
Manage your stats to stay alive.

New update features:
Engine upgrade from UE5.3 to 5.6

Upgraded Bravo Bunker & Private Bunker (More to be added in the future with the new modular design)

Infection system - Zombies can grab the player and infect them, find a cure or subdue it for as long as you can

Behind the scenes new player skeleton and animations - Multiple new animations and more

New POIs

Zombies react to damage and some objects will now block them from hearing beyond it (eg, Underground)

Option to enable lumen/screen space global illumination and reflections

2 new vehicles

New random events

New difficulty settings

Many new items including a crossbow, fish and to lots of new/improved clothing

'Laptop Quests' now save their progress and don't disappear after exiting the game (Background work in preparation of a larger system)

Fishing requires bait and the fishing rod has durability

Improved/less annoying interaction with entering, repairing, etc a vehicle

Weather is more random

Fixed towing when using the rear of a vehicle

Fixed depletion of batteries, etc

And many more quality of life changes and bug fixes
