2003 GMC Savana 1500 AWD - The GMC Unicorn - front diff. work etc.

This video shows me going through my 2003 GMC Savana 1500 AWD van trying to diagnose sounds coming from the front drive train components, and also do lots of suspension and other maintenance. It also shows replacing the rear pinion seal since the rear diff was leaking.

This front differential (7.25) was used on Chevy Express and GMC Savana 1500 AWD vans from 2003-2014. Apparently they were not popular and so are somewhat rare. aka Unicorn. As a result, the parts are discontinued and or obsolete. There is no replacement that I know of.
I like this van due to the AWD. The idea was....it would be a mini RV...so that when we go boating we can haul the boat with this....and launch the boat without getting stuck....cuz AWD....and be able to camp in it. Prior to this we had to drive two vehicles for boating trips......one to tow the boat....and the other to tow our camper. So this video is me tightening up the ship so to speak to feel confident that this van will get the job done without mechanical problems.
