STRAVA KOM hunting -- India's most-attempted hill climb segment (NANDI HILLS) -- Do I get the KOM?!

NANDI HILLS is one of the most climbed hills in Indian cycling -- a 7.3km climb at a 5.5% average gradient, about 60km from Bangalore. I give the climb a good go once a year to see where my fitness is at from the previous year, like most folks in Bangalore cycling. The KOM is at 19'15" and I knew it would be tough to beat, but went for it anyways.

For this attempt, I asked a friend to stitch together a video narrative of my attempt at KOM sniping, along with the accompanying suffering. I sprinkle some tips for cyclists planning to attempt the climb for the first time, and share my two paise worth for the Nandi veterans looking to improve their times too. In a year with no competitive events, it's all about carving up challenges that mean something to each one us on a personal level, going out and giving it a good go, and having fun in the process.
