JGC Holdings was founded over 50 years ago by Masao Saneyoshi aiming to contribute to the resolution of various global issues through its thorough engineering business and other business activities being Japan's first ever-engineering company.

JGC Group’s purpose is “Enhancing planetary health”. The health of humankind and the Earth are co-dependent. Among these, the main focus is climate actions and “Energy transition”.
