In the spring of 2022, the Danish glam rock band
SilverGlam appeared on the musical scene for the
first time, delivering a stunning rendition of the
Chinn/Chapman track "Moonlight in
Baskerville." A forgotten musical masterpiece
that glam rock masters, Sweet, never officially
released. Subsequently, the band produced
other catchy tunes of their own, such as "´74," a
nostalgic look back at the heyday of glam rock,
and "Lady Strange," which, like its predecessors,
firmly rests in the musical groove of glam rock.
The band's popularity has been particularly evident on glam stations in the USA, UK, and Australia. Even
domestically, radio stations have played the band's debut album "The
Glamrock Sessions Vol. 1." As the debut album's name suggests, the
groundwork for a sweeping "Vol. 2" was already laid from the
beginning. Now, in January 2024, SilverGlam offers us a sneak peek
into it with the tracks "Saturday Night Ride"
SilverGlam's sound has deep roots in the glam of the seventies but
also extends an embracing arm into more recent musical influences.
Behind the sparkling glam sound, one can sense the pioneers' past,
from the raw punk-rock rhythms in Danish music history. This hard
beat, combined with the superb vocals of Thomas Carstensen and
Elsebeth Gundersen, creates SilverGlam's truly unique sound.
In addition to the aforementioned members, SilverGlam consists of Gert Oestrich (Drums), Henrik
Christiansen (Bass), Henrik Liebgott (Guitar), Gunnar Cleemann (Guitar), Lars Boutrup (Piano).
Additionally, Peter Peter (Guitar), Henrik Botoft (Guitar), Povl Kristian (Piano Strings) also contribute.
Stay tuned as SilverGlam opens Pandora's box and offers a sneak peek into their upcoming album with
the single "Saturday Night Ride"
