In this video we’ll finally breakdown how to insert dim7th chords into an existing chord progression, obviously with a neo-soul flair. Touching on why you can move these dim7 chords by 3 half steps and what a secondary diminished 7th chord substitution is, we’ll be using a classic Neo-Soul chord progression and we’ll be adding dim7th chords following two strategies. The graphics on screen will help following all of the concepts and will compare notes and degrees within each chord. Chord diagrams on screen as well as key and chord numbers.
