In a touching analogy, Bhagyashree compared India to a woman’s maika (maternal home). While marriage may lead her to a sasural (husband’s home), the ties with her maika remain unbroken. She urged Indians abroad to remember that while they may build a life in the U.S., their bond with Bharat Mata, their maika, must always stay alive. "It is our duty to teach our children this connection," she stressed, calling it both a haq (right) and a kartavya (duty).

Bhagyashree also encouraged younger generations to embrace their Indian identity with pride. Reframing the familiar phrase ABCD (American Born Confused Desi), she urged them to be American Born Confident Desis, with confidence rooted in cultural belonging.

Together with Tarun Chugh, Bhagyashree’s message was clear; work hard, stay united, and always keep India close to your heart because no matter where you go, India will always be your homeland. Her words held even greater depth, coming from someone who has consistently worked for the betterment of Indian society, empowering women, children, and youth.
