Today is 6th day in our Skardu trip and we are in Khaplu. We are staying in high cliff hotel Khaplu. In this youtube vlog, we are going to cover Khaplu fort, Chaqchan mosque, Kharmang district, Manthoka waterfall, where we saw tree houses and Manthoka waterfall cafe. we later reached our hotel serenity inn hotel Skardu , where they arranged their special homemade skardu's local food in dinner including chow balay soup, kashmiri mutton yakhni, prappu, mamtu, apricot oil, khurba (bread) and halwa topped with local dry fruit and then local green tea.

Khaplu Fort
also known as Yabgo Khar, is an ancient fort and palace located in Khaplu, a town in the Ghanche District of Gilgit-Baltistan, Pakistan. It is one of the most important cultural heritage sites in the region, with a history that reflects the rich and diverse influences of Central Asian, Tibetan, and Balti cultures.
Khaplu Fort was built in 1840 by the Yabgo Raja Daulat Ali Khan of Khaplu, a ruler from the Yabgo Dynasty, which governed the region for over 700 years. The fort was constructed as a royal residence and a defensive stronghold to protect the kingdom of Khaplu from potential invaders.

Chaqchan Mosque
The Chaqchan Mosque is one of the oldest mosques in the Gilgit-Baltistan region of Pakistan, located in the town of Khaplu in the Ghanche District. The name "Chaqchan" means "The Miraculous" in Balti. This mosque is not only a significant religious site but also an architectural marvel that reflects the rich cultural heritage of the region.
The Chaqchan Mosque was constructed in 1370 CE, making it over 650 years old. It is believed to have been established shortly after the area converted to Islam, influenced by the preaching of the Sufi saint Mir Sayyid Ali Hamadani. He was a revered figure who played a key role in spreading Islam in the region.

Kharmang District
one of the 14 districts in the Gilgit-Baltistan region of Pakistan. It is located in the eastern part of the region and is known for its stunning natural beauty, rich history, and cultural significance.

Manthoka Waterfall
One of the most famous tourist attractions in Kharmang District is the Manthokha Waterfall, which is one of the highest waterfalls in Pakistan. It is a popular spot for both locals and tourists, offering breathtaking views and a serene environment.
