How to overhaul a Carburetor | Zenith 28 IF Renault R4

In this Video I revised an old 'Zenith 28 IF' Carburetor from an Renault 4 / R4. The car didnt run smooth anymore and went off time by time, so i was pretty sure that the carburetor needs a little restoration!
I started by disassembling the carburetor in mostly every part. I didnt remove the throttle and the choke throttle, because theyre too sensitve. After disassembling I cleaned the parts with a citric carburetor cleaner from the outside. This part isnt necessary, but I think a little cleaning isnt too bad for this old beauty. After outside cleaning, I cleaned the carburetor in a ultrasonic cleaner with a citric cleaner. The parts came out pretty clean, I neutralized them
in cold water and dried them with compressed air. After every part was cleaned, I reassembled the carburetor with an overhauling kit, which includes a new nozzle and new gaskets.
After putting the carburetor back in the renault 4 R4, the car runs pretty smooth again! Now I need to take it for a testdrive to get it on temperature, after that i can do some fine tuning :-)
