In this video I have discussed the process of organization of an Academic essay. Firstly I have defined the process of organization. Organizing an essay means presenting your essay in a logical and coherent manner, so that your ideas flow smoothly and reader can easily follow your thoughts.
Deciding what information belongs together, what should come first, second, etc., creating a logical flow from one idea or topic to another, all are part of organization.
After discussing the basic introduction of organization I have elaborated different parts of essay. Every essay is made up of three parts:
1. Introduction of Essay
2. Main Body or Body of Essay
3. Conclusion
After pointing out these basic parts, I have explained each part of an essay in detail. I dived deep into the process that, what should be included in introduction of an essay, body of an essay and in conclusion.
I have discussed that we always start our essay with an introductory paragraph or general statement that gives the main ideas of your essay.
The purpose of introduction is:
 Let the reader know what your essay is about
 Inform the reader about your point of view.
 Arouse the reader curiosity to read your essay
I have stated that introduction is the main part of an essay. Structure of Introduction should be:
1. Topic Sentence :( Address the topic directly)
E.g. Corruption is the misuse of power or position for personal gain. It is the violation of legal and ethical standards.
2. Supporting sentences :( 6-8 sentences comprising explanations, examples, quotations etc.)
3. Thesis statement: (discuss, something put forth)
Then comes the Second part of an essay, that is the body of essay. The body section expands, develops, and supports the central idea or thesis set forth in the introduction. The body of the essay is the writer's discussion of the subject, issues, and points presented in the introduction, developed through examples, explanations, details, and supporting arguments.
The Last part of an essay is Conclusion; it summarizes and restates the main points of the essay. It brings the essay to close.
