Here's another tune from 1990's NES classic, Crystalis! This is the Floating Tower theme, which similar to a few other tunes on this game, features the main melody harmonized with lower pitches. It also continues the usage of disco style octave basslines, although unlike the main overworld theme, the bass breaks away from the octaves and avoids chromatic passing tunes, giving this tune a more epic and less playful/adventury feel.

To fill out the arrangement on this cover, I added some keyboard strings, brass on tape, and a squarewavy synth lead. I also did this to smooth out the lead guitars in the mix as I felt they were a bit too aggressive sounding for the melody. My favorite bit of this piece of music is right on the last turn around, the main melody hold out a high note for 4 beats while the secondary melody descends along a tasteful arpeggio. It sounds great and is fun to play!
