Does changing "Race" to "Species" fix D&D?

On 12/01/2022, Wizards of the Coast released Unearthed Arcana 2020: The Cleric and Revised Species alongside a blog post on D&D Beyond called Moving On From ‘Race’ in One D&D. In it, the stated that the term “race” would no longer be used in the next version of D&D and would be replaced by “species”. Daniel, Emma, and Jeremy weighed in on this proposed change and shared their thoughts on why this isn't the best move.
