Ribbed Brassie: Fly Tying Step by Step

Описание к видео Ribbed Brassie: Fly Tying Step by Step

A great pattern for the beginner! This is a variation on an old classic called the brassie. In this instance rather than starting the wire wraps down the bottom of the fly you start them at the top so that you can then wrap them back up to create the rib. To be fair to the original you also get that rib look from the wire wrapped up the body but this method gives it amore pronounced profile. I have used Semperfli Black Pearl Chenille for this pattern to add some flash into the pattern but you could also use Peacock Herl like the traiditonal or experiment with some other dubbings and chenilles. The same can be done with the wire playing with colours and sizes. This pattern is great as a caddis and midge imitation.

Happy Tying Everyone!
