How to Juice a Lemon

In this video I show you how to squeeze every drop out of a lemon. This also works for limes. Don't be fooled by other videos or gadgets...

This is not how you juice a lemon:

* Don't roll the lemon on your cutting board. Rolling a lemon is completely redundant and serves no purpose. Cooking show hosts love this trick because it sounds really good. It's not.

* Don't microwave the lemon. lol smh

* Don't simply use your hand to squeeze the lemon.

* Don't use fork. There is something better.

* Don't use those fancy lemon squeezer thingies. I have one of those. The idea of it is great. I was fooled. It don't work

The best way to squeeze a lemon is a straight up spoon. Yes, a spoon. Basically cut the lemon in half. Cup one half in the palm of your non-dominant hand. Grab a spoon with your other hand, placing your thumb on the bowl part of the spoon to use as leverage. Then rotate the spoon back and forth as you're driving it into the lemon.

By far this is the best way to juice a lemon. Yes, you can actually use a fork as well but instead of a rotating motion use a pivoting motion while squeezing the lemon with your hand.

If you have one of those fancy lemon squeeze thingies the best thing you can do with it is get a large plate and set at as a center piece for your dining room table, to serve as a daily reminder what wasting money looks like. If you have a cooking show though, then by all means show the camera, it looks really good on tv.

How did I come up with this technique?... I wanted to juice a lemon... so I did -_-.
