Описание к видео Day0022 SB 2.2.5_The True Essence of Renunciation: Spiritual Contribution Over Material Dependency

Are there no torn clothes lying on the common road? Do the trees, which exist for maintaining others, no longer give alms in charity? Do the rivers, being dried up, no longer supply water to the thirsty? Are the caves of the mountains now closed? Or above all, does the Almighty Lord not protect the fully surrendered souls? Why then do the learned sages go to flatter those who are intoxicated by hard-earned wealth?

• The Renounced Order of Life (Sannyāsa)
• Purpose: True renunciation is not about begging or living as a parasite but rather contributing to society.
• Householder’s Duty: In Sanātana Dharma, householders are advised to provide for mendicants as part of their duty, but pseudo-mendicants should not exploit this charity.
Duties of a Renunciate
• Contribution to Society: A genuine sannyāsī should produce literary work or other contributions for the spiritual upliftment of humanity.
• Example: Śrīla Rūpa and Śrīla Sanātana Gosvāmī wrote many transcendental scriptures and engaged in deep discussions at Sevākuñja, Vṛndāvana.
• No Dependence on Household Charity: Those who cannot contribute should not beg for food, as cautioned by Śukadeva Gosvāmī, especially in Kali Yuga, where many take renunciation just to solve economic problems.
• Faith in the Lord's Protection
• A true mendicant should depend fully on Kṛṣṇa rather than seeking material security.
• Simple Living:
• Wears discarded, torn clothes salvaged from the streets.
• Eats fruit from trees and drinks water from rivers.
• Resides in caves without fear of wild animals, trusting in the Lord’s protection.
• Example: Haridāsa Ṭhākura lived in a cave with a venomous snake. When devotees expressed concern, the snake voluntarily left the cave, showing the Lord’s intervention.
Spiritual Qualities and Renunciation
• Renunciation is only for those fully purified and spiritually accomplished.
• Bhagavad-gītā (16.5): The qualities of renunciation (Daivī Sampat) lead to liberation, while materialistic traits (Āsurī Sampat) cause bondage and suffering.
• A renunciate must live alone, fearlessly, always remembering that Kṛṣṇa resides in the hearts of all beings.
• True Wisdom vs. Material Knowledge
• Śrīmad-Bhāgavatam (7.5.31) warns against blind material leaders who mislead followers.
• Real wisdom involves understanding Ātma Tattva—spiritual knowledge, not just material education.
• Example: A doctor leaving his profession to run a business, illustrating how worldly education doesn’t always equate to real-life wisdom.
Transcendental Qualities of Kṛṣṇa
• Kṛṣṇa possesses unique divine attributes beyond human capability:
• Sad-Aiśvarya (Six Opulences): Full in wealth, strength, fame, beauty, knowledge, renunciation.
• Aṣṭa-Siddhis (Mystic Powers): Including anima (shrinking), mahima (expansion), etc.
• Aṣṭa-Gunas (Transcendental Qualities): Kṛṣṇa is never affected by sin, never ages, never laments, and is beyond worldly constraints.
**When a man becomes a mendicant willfully or by circumstances,
1. he must be of firm faith and conviction that the Supreme Lord is the maintainer of all living beings everywhere in the universe. Why, then, would He neglect the maintenance of a surrendered soul who is cent-percent engaged in the service of the Lord? A common master looks to the necessities of his servant, so how much more would the all-powerful, all-opulent Supreme Lord look after the necessities of life for a fully surrendered soul.
2. He will accept a simple small loincloth without asking anyone to give it in charity. He simply salvages it from the rejected torn cloth thrown in the street.
3. When he is hungry he may go to a magnanimous tree that drops fruits, and when he is thirsty he may drink water from the flowing river.
4. He does not require to live in a comfortable house but should find a cave in the hills and not be afraid of jungle animals, keeping faith in God, who lives in everyone’s heart
5. He should always live alone, without company, and he must be fearless.
**Persons who are strongly entrapped by the consciousness of enjoying material life, and who have therefore accepted as their leader or guru a similar blind man attached to external sense objects, cannot understand that the goal of life is to return home, back to Godhead, and engage in the service of Lord Viṣṇu.
***As blind men guided by another blind man miss the right path and fall into a ditch, materially attached men led by another materially attached man are bound by the ropes of fruitive labor, which are made of very strong cords, and they continue again and again in materialistic life, suffering the threefold miseries.
