Surgeon's Weekend – Orthopedic Surgery Guest | Ep. 15

Описание к видео Surgeon's Weekend – Orthopedic Surgery Guest | Ep. 15

Weekends in residency are what you make of them! During this weekend in December I went hiking with Conor, fellow intern who is training in orthopedic surgery. Spending time with friends and exercising is killing two birds with one stone. It's all about that work-life harmony and balance.

Conor goes over why he went into orthopedic surgery vs. general surgery, the importance of mission work and helping others, and satisfaction from one's work. Each specialty has its nuances and attracts different personalities and people with different interests. Orthopedic surgery is a 5 year residency. Plastic surgery is 6 years. General surgery is 5 years.
