DIY sawhorses that fold for storage and have a number of other benefits: easy to open, close, and carry, free-standing even when folded, with shelf for tools and materials while working, plus they are fairly simple and relatively inexpensive to build.

BoM to build TWO sawhorses:
five 8’ 2x4”
one 4x4’ 3/4” plywood
eight standard door (or similar) hinges
wood screws
four 1” bolts
optional:
varnish or stain
powerbar
material for foot pads and top rail cover
