In the Lamrim, Karma is the essence of the first level of practice. Cause and effect is the law that runs the universe, it's a natural law, it's not punishment or reward, we are in charge of our own lives. Everything we think and do and say produces our future, everything we do that is negative produces a suffering future, and everything that is positive produces a happy future. The three poisons, attachment, aversion, and ignorance. Four ways in which karma ripens - the type of rebirth, our tendencies, experiences, and environment. Purification and vows. Motivation. Questions including taking vows, karma ripening, killing, aversion, and experiencing discrimination.
