Legacy of Rust is a new 16-level episode created in collaboration by id Software, Nightdive Studios, and MachineGames. It was released along with the new and improved Steam release of classic Doom. More information on the new release can be found here:

Legacy of Rust implements various new textures, enemies, sprites, and so on. The levels feel large and up to the modern standard of level design that the Doom community has cultivated over the 30 years of its existence.

I’m pretty excited to dive into this WAD, and I hope you guys enjoy the gameplay!

Gonna keep this one short and sweet because this is one of my least favorite maps in the WAD.

This could possibly be a skill issue, but I doubt a skill issue is the only problem here.

Things I don't like first:
The beginning is a little tedious. The Vassagos become a chore to kill after a while.
I know the map is designed around the Incinerator and Calamity Blade, but other ammo types would be nice.
The final fight annoys me considerably. Feels like RNG is the main thing you have to rely on here. It's very difficult to rush one section of Tyrants without getting annihilated by the other Tyrants.

Things I like:
The MIDI does a great job of pushing the player forward and adds a real sense of finality.
The second fight used to be a dislike, but after I got better with the Calamity Blade it became much easier. It's probably the only fight I like.
Despite my gripes with the combat, it is a fitting way to ramp up the intensity gameplay-wise from the last map.
I like the continuity from the last map.
