Russia - Bolshoi Ballerina Pavlova Quits

The string of resignations from Russia's leading Bolshoi Ballet
company continued on Tuesday (28/3) when principal ballerina
Nadezhda Pavlova quit. Pavlova, who joined the Bolshoi 20 years ago, had taken leading roles in ballets like "Romeo and Juliet" and "Giselle". The resignations follow a recent reshuffle of senior positions at the Bolshoi.

Pavlova interview at her home in russian, says
"my resignation was caused by the recent changes in the
administration (of the theatre). The administration has new ideas
and new plans which are impossible to implement, and those ideas
will not help the development of the theatre. we should work,
dance and rehearse on the stage, but instead of that, we will have
unnecessary feuds between the staff."
