Harajuku is a trendy spot where creative subcultures thrive, frequented by Japanese teenagers and foreign visitors to Japan. Takeshita Dori (Takeshita Street), in particular, is Harajuku’s runway, where young and old alike strut their stuff, flaunting their underground fashion senses. Lolitas dressed from head to toe in ruffles are commonplace here, and those are far from the wackiest outfits you’ll see here.

While the busy Takeshita Dori caters to foreign tourists, the surrounding streets have much to offer in terms of food and fashion, with many little boutiques offering one-of-a-kind products.
