SR20DET Hydraulic Lifter Service

🤦🏻Some folks never bother with servicing the hydraulic lifters on their SR20's before tossing them back together; I find it's a good thing to check since it's so easy to do. Having a bad lifter can certainly cause problems and unwanted noises from the valve cover area. This simple procedure will allow you to reinstall your lifters with confidence in knowing you checked them yourself.

⚠️Don't go out and buy new lifters!!! Go to the junkyard and pull a bunch of them yourself, and then service them. Many different Nissan cars came equipped with the SAME EXACT hydraulic lifters as the SR20. They are almost $80 a piece brand new from Nissan, you can probably get a bag full for around $10 at the junkyard.
