I Waited 6 Months For This! + MORE Changes At The Allotment

After 6 months it's time to harvest the Christmas carrots at the allotment. A pretty decent harvest, but a lot of root fly damage.. somehow.

The allotment may be very quiet at this time of year, but there's still stuff going on. Now is the time for those DIY projects. Whilst I have been busy away from the allotment and not down as much, I've still been cracking on building and filling those raised beds. They are now all built, ready to be filled!
I'm excited for next year's garden growing season!

So there are a lot of changes taking place at the allotment during winter. We are going completely no dig with the raised garden beds.

There's a lot of rodent damage on the plot right now. We've lost all the parsnips to the rats, and some of the brassicas - cabbage, broccoli, and kale, have been damaged. Snap traps will sort them out.
