Along the Lines - LVRF 4168

Описание к видео Along the Lines - LVRF 4168

4168 was the train number for Lachlan Valley Rail Freights Sandgate - Botany service passing through the northern suburbs of Sydney around midday each day. This was one of the most interestin trains in the early 2000s with a variety of locos leading the train it was rare that you would see the same combo multiple times. 4168 was of course home to the JL class locomotives which were ex-442s owned by CFCLA and operated by LVRF.

The clips in this video were shot by my grandfather in 2002 through to 2003 when he would visit Thornleigh station at least once a week to video and photograph the freight passing through. I also spent a lot of time photographing 4168 when I would visit my grandfather in Sydney during the school holidays. And it is a train that I am currently in the process of recreating in HO scale.
