Isputinaw (Canada) - The Elms Arms (Demo 2021)

Debut release from this excellent wintery Dark Ambient/Drone project part of the excellent Manidoo Gathering collective.

Like nightly dirge into the depths of the woods of the Ojibwe lands, Isputinaw narrates a journey of communion with the pristine and the cosmic. As the stars plummet onto the horizon and new ones rise in the firmament, you are slowly cradled by the moon's hypnotic gaze, and made aware of the transcendental presence of soil and the grove, while unbothered by the sibilant whispers and eerie uncanny frequencies that emerge from the depths of the thicket.

Excellent recording, mixing elements of Dark Ambient, Drone and Dungeon Synth, evocative of Voldsom Tapes projects like Jötgrimm or Til Det Bergens Skyggene, with field recordings, natural and paranormal.
