This production of Manon by Massenet starred Beverly Sills, Henry Price, Richard Fredricks, Samuel Remey, Robert Hale, Nico Castel and conducted by Julius Rudel. This was during the heyday of the NY City Opera. The staging is traditional and opulent, with of course the talents of great singers. Henry Price is cast opposite Sills in many of her videos

With better software, perhaps the restoration could be clearer and sharper, but until it is professionally restored, this will have to do. This was restored from the laserdisc.
