Change notification settings in Windows 10, In Windows 10, the action center is where to find your app notifications, as well as quick actions, which give you quick access to commonly used settings and apps. Change your action center settings from the Settings app at any time.

01. Select the Start button, and then select Settings.
02. Go to System ➡ Notifications & actions.
03. Do any of the following:

Select from the quick actions that are displayed in the action center.
You can enable or disable sounds, banners, and notifications for some or all notification senders.
The lock screen notification visibility option.
You can decide whether to display notifications while copying your screen.
Windows hints, tips, and suggestions can be turned on or off.

Turn Focus assist on or off in Windows 10

Focus assist (also called quiet hours in earlier versions of Windows 10) allows you to avoid distracting notifications when you need to stay focused and is set by default to activate automatically under certain conditions. Here's how to enable or disable focus assistance:

01. Select the action center icon on the taskbar.

02. Select Focus assist to cycle through the available settings: either Priority Only, Alarms Only, or Off. (If you don't see the Focus assist tile, you may need to select Expand first.)

03. Focus assist settings can also be edited by selecting Start, then selecting Settings ➡ System ➡ Focus assist, or type Focus assist into the search bar and select Focus assist settings in the list of results.

Automatic activation settings

Focus assist is set by default to activate automatically when you are duplicating your display, playing a game, or using an app in full-screen mode. You can control any or all of these, as well as determine to what level notifications are suppressed.

01. Select Start, then select Settings ➡ System ➡ Focus assist, or type Focus assist into the search bar and select Focus assist settings in the list of results.

02. To set the current state of focus assist, select Off (receive all notifications), Priority only (see only notifications from a list you can customize to your liking) or Alarms Only (hide everything except alarms).

02. Under Automatic rules, you can determine the conditions that cause focus assist to activate automatically. Select the item to turn that condition on or off and to determine the time and/or level of focus assist that condition activates, or just select the switch as a shortcut to turning a condition on or off. (To completely deactivate focus assist, turn all of these off.)

04. Select Show me a summary of what I missed while focus assist was on to be sent a notification when you exit from focus assist about what was redirected to Action Center. Deselect this to deactivate this notification.

05. When focus assist turns on automatically, by default a notification appears in the action center explaining that focus assist is on and suppressing notifications. If you would prefer not to see this message, click the Change focus assist button in the notification, and uncheck the Show notification in the action center when focus assist is turned on automatically in the Settings page that launches.
