The red cat or its scientific name 'Pardofelis badia' is a species of forest cat that only lives in Kalimantan, it is an endemic animal to Kalimantan. This cat is very rare, due to the narrowing of forests and lots of hunting.

Red Cats have an Elusive nature, so with a very shy and wary nature, they are nocturnal and spend most of their time in trees, making them difficult to observe or study in the wild; The population is small, with an estimated population of less than 2,500 adult individuals, with low densities even in natural habitats.

As the name suggests, this cat has reddish brown fur. Different from cats in general, red cats tend to be smaller in body, but have a long body and tail, and have a round face and ears.

The head to body length of red cats varies between 49.5–67 cm (19.5–26.4 inches) with a tail length of 30–40.3 cm (11.8–15.9 inches). They are estimated to have an adult weight of 3–4 kg (6.6–8.8 lb), but the number of live specimens obtained has been too small for a more reliable estimate to be made.
