Surya Namaskar, meaning Sun Salutation, is an ancient yogic practice of paying respects to the sun. In a Surya Namaskar, seven different postures or Asanas are done cyclically into a specific 12-step pattern. It is known to be an effective cardiovascular workout and has a really positive impact on the human body and mind.

This routine is most beneficial when performed at dawn. The sequence of asanas in Surya Namaskar stimulates all organs, systems, and works all muscles. In addition to the many health benefits, Surya Namaskar also helps in improving concentration.
