In this video, Whitney takes you through how to use Google Search Console, Google Trends, Google Search, and even the stock market to find even more unique niche topics within your content vertical.

If you’re a publisher, there is a really good chance that you may have a topic that is suffering, whether it be related to the pandemic or seasonality. A good example of this is traveling; people aren’t searching for traveling very much. Additionally, advertisers that are spending money on traveling are also down, so hotels and airlines aren’t spending as much, so it’s especially bad--low traffic and low revenue.

Using Google Trends, you can begin to look at similar topics within your niche, see how they are performing, and find related queries to really hone in on a particular, but related, topic. You can also use Google Search Console to compare what topics are performing well now versus six months ago and write content based on those impressions.
