Welcome to our spontaneous drunken adventure to Southport, Merseyside, one of the UK’s most iconic British seaside towns! In this travel and pub adventure vlog, we head to Southport with absolutely no plan and it turns into one of the best days out we’ve had. If you love UK seaside travel, pub crawls, Guinness reviews, historic arcades, museums, and unpredictable nights out, this one’s for you.

We start our Southport adventure exploring The Atkinson Museum and Gallery, a cultural hotspot in the heart of Southport packed with local history, art exhibitions, and fascinating displays about the town’s heritage. The Atkinson is one of the best FREE things to do in Southport and a must visit if you’re interested in Merseyside history and culture.

Next, we wander through the stunning and historic Wayfarers Arcade, one of Southport’s hidden gems and a beautiful example of Victorian shopping arcades in the UK. We also explore the famous Cable Street area, showing off some of the coolest independent spots, local businesses, and unique places that make Southport such a brilliant seaside destination.

No visit to Southport would be complete without checking out the pub scene, and we visit several brilliant bars and pubs throughout the day. We stop off at The Auld Dubliner Southport, which we reckon serves the best Guinness in Southport. If you’re searching for authentic Irish pubs, great atmosphere, and quality pints of Guinness on the Merseyside coast, this is a must visit pub.

Things quickly take a turn when we meet the lovely Emma and Matt and later bump into some mates. We have a few too many drinks, and then find ourselves watching a pantomime inside a church called lord street west, proving that sometimes the best experiences happen when you have no plan.
