How to Install a Steel Door Restrictor

Restricts opening and holds in position!

Discreet, passivated steel, uPVC door restrictor arm with adjustable stay-open position. Allows the door to be held in open position and prevents it being opened too wide or caught by the wind.

Tough, durable restrictor offering good weather resistance and a 335mm Door Channel Arm that fits to the euorgroove on the top of uPVC doors to restrict opening to a maximum of 90°.

The restrictor is adjustable, so you can set the Stay-Open position and friction, which controls the stiffness of the door.

1. Engage stay-open arrowhead within holding spring to lock the restrictor arm slide.

2. With the door in its stay open position, rest the door slide channel on top of the door sash, ensuring the holding spring stop is nearest the hinge.

3. Fit frame pivot plate to underside of top frame, 60mm from the corner on the hinge side. Secure with 2 screws.

4. While door is in stay-open position, fix the door slide channel into the eurogroove on the top of the door with 4 screws provided.

NOTE: If the door swings too freely, you should turn the friction adjustment screw.
